Olga is an all-round graphic designer working across print, digital, and dynamic imagery. Her practice covers all printed and online matter, social media strategy, and copywriting. You can recognize her hand in the craftsmanship, but she does not impose a fixed aesthetic. Instead, she reinvent her approach for each client, letting their philosophy dictate whether the work is hand-drawn, digital, minimal, or vibrant, for instance.
Olga believe the best design emerges from working closely with clients. The more she understand the inside story of a company, the better she can serve their needs. This close collaboration ensures that every identity she creates fits their image and serves as a durable asset they can rely on for years, and can use with ease. Her goal is to translate the client’s philosophy into a visual language that works offline and online.
Olga Scholten, graduated at the Royal Art Academy,
's-Hertogenbosch in 1995. Before starting her own company, she worked for Thonik, Studio Anthon Beeke and Atelier René Knip. In 2015 she recieved a Gold EdAward - European Design Award 2015 Corporate Illustrations for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Until 2022 she had been collaborating with René Knip for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since 2004, and Joep van der Made for different kind of projects like the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen.
self–initiated projects
She initiates projects with a focus on text and drawings. Scholten published a book in 2004 en 2021 and small publications in between. In 2008 she was invited by Dave Eggers to be a part of his exhibition 'Lots of things like this' at Apexart in New York - an exhibition about drawings + text + humor. Together with Corine Haitjema and Paul Faassen she initiated an European version called A Perfect Day - Tekenshow, at the Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam, 2012 and a second edition in 2020 and a third in 2022. They are currently working on a fourth edition.
